
Trio of Silverbacks earn All-CIFL honors

The Miami Valley Silverbacks' breakthrough second season ended on another high note this morning with the release of the All-Continental Indoor Football League teams.
Miami Valley, who made the playoffs in their inaugural season in the CIFL, had three players named second team All-CIFL, the first season of the league.
Wide receiver George Murray and offensive lineman James Crawford earned second team All-CIFL offensive honors while linebacker Brenton Brady was named second team All-CIFL on defense.
The Great Lakes Division dominated the All-CIFL teams as 21 of the 34 players honored hail from the division which includes the Silverbacks. Port Huron had the most players selected with six. The Pirates went 12-0 in the regular season before falling to Atlantic Division champion Rochester in the final game. Kalamazoo was represented by five players while Chicago had four, Marion two and Muskingum one.
The Silverbacks' front office is busy preparing for the 2008 season and expects to announce their upcoming schedule shortly.
Miami Valley will be entering their third campaign as a professional indoor football franchise, making them the longest running professional indoor football team in Miami Valley history.
