
Trio of Rookies Added to SF Bulls Roster

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The San Francisco Bulls Professional Hockey Team, proud affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, announced today that forwards Brett Findlay, Nick Czinder (ZIHN-der) and Paul Chiasson (CHASE-on) have agreed to terms. Czinder and Findlay are the fourth and fifth Bulls to return from last season.
Czinder, 21, returns to the Bulls after finishing least season with San Francisco, following his final year in junior hockey with the Peterborough Petes of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). With the Bulls, Czinder recorded three points (2 goals, 1 assist) in six regular-season games. He also skated in all five playoff games against the Alaska Aces. In his final season in the OHL, Czinder totaled 32 points (13 goals, 19 assists) in 57 games between Peterborough and the Kitchener Rangers. The 6-foot, 5-inch, 230-pound, West Bloomfield, Michigan native collected 65 points and 151 penalty minutes in 175 career OHL gamers with the Windsor Spitfires, Kitchener and Peterborough.
"Nick is a big physical player with skill," SF Bulls President and Head Coach Pat Curcio. "We saw it in his brief stint with the team last season."
Findlay, 20, also returns to the Bulls after spending the end of the 2012-13 season in San Francisco. The 6-foot, 189-pound, Echo Bay, Ontario native recorded three assists in six regular-season games with San Francisco. In the playoffs, he recorded two assists in five games. In his final season in the OHL, Findlay tallied 46 points (19 goals, 27 assists) in 68 games to lead Peterborough in points and tie for the lead in goals. In 2011-12, Findlay had a taste of the pro level, registering six points (2 goals, 4 assists) in 11 playoff games with the Fort Worth Brahmas of the Central Hockey League. Findlay totaled 146 points (59 goals, 87 assists) in 193 career OHL games with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds and Peterborough.
"Brett is a very skilled and smart player," said Curcio. "With his skills he has the ability to play at the next level."
Chiasson, 23, enters his first season of professional hockey after four years at Mercyhurst College. With the Lakers, the 5-foot, 11-inch, 195-pound, Toronto, Ontario native totaled 109 points (55 goals, 54 assists) in 151 games. In 2010-11, Chiasson ranked second on Mercyhurst with 37 points (17 goals, 20 assists) in 37 games. In 2011-12, his 14 goals ranked first. "Paul is a very fast tenacious right winger," said Curcio. "He shoots the puck well in stride and has always scored a lot of goals."
