January 10, 2017 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
Ottawa Fury FC News Release
OTTAWA - After making his CanMNT debut back in November, Fury FC forward Carl Haworth has been called to the National Team camp alongside teammates Jamar Dixon and Callum Irving. The 28-man camp will be held in Fort Lauderdale and will determine the 18-man squad selected for Canada's international Friendly in Bermuda on January 22nd.
For Dixon, it's his fourth call to the CanMNT since joining Fury FC, as the 27-year-old was part of the 23-man squad that took part in the World Cup Qualifier against Honduras and El Salvador in early September, and more recently featured in the International friendly against Korea Republic in November. Dixon made his international debut for Canada against the United States in February 2016.
Irving will be participating in his third camp with the national team; his first since signing with Fury FC in early December. The 23-year-old goalkeeper previously participated in a camp in 2013 in the United States and more recently in February 2016 in San Diego and Los Angeles, ahead of a friendly against the USA. Irving is looking to get his first international cap.
The 18-man roster for the January 22nd friendly in Hamilton, Bermuda will be announced January 19.
Fury FC are set to open training camp for the club's fourth season on February 1st in Ottawa.
