Penn FC News Release

Harrisburg, PA- The Harrisburg City Islanders announced today that they have exercised the option on midfielder Mouhamed Dabo to return to the field in 2017 for his sophomore season with the club. Dabo made his USL debut with the City Islanders in 2016 and will stay on the roster as a key member of the 2017 team.

Dabo entered the USL in 2016 after a 3-year stint with Inter Milan. He also made five appearances for the Senegal U-17 national team in 2013, collecting one goal in the process.

Harrisburg's Head Coach Bill Becher is looking forward to Dabo's return to action to 2017, to see if he can be the kind of impact player he was last season.

"When Dabo came back (from injury), the team got better," stated Becher when asked to comment on Dabo's return to the club. "We were certainly a better team when Dabo was playing...... a year under his belt in the USL will certainly make him better in 2017."

Dabo was a consistent player for the Harrisburg City Islanders tallying 1,686 minutes of action in just 21 appearances after returning from injury. He also added 6 shots including 1 shot on goal to complete his 2016 stat line.

Mouhamed Dabo is the second player to officially return to the Harrisburg City Islanders roster, and the first to be announced post the franchise's new Division II status.
