Tri-City Dust Devils News Release
A 7-run 6th inning provided all the runs the Tri-City Dust Devils (7-10 2H, 36-44) needed Wednesday night, as the home nine beat the Everett AquaSox (9-8 2H, 40-42) 7-1 at Gesa Stadium.
Before the inning the game looked a carbon copy of Tuesday night's 1-0 AquaSox victory, with a pitchers' duel between the Dust Devils' Landon Marceaux (3-5) and Everett's Logan Rinehart.
Marceaux gave up Everett's lone run in the top of the 6th, with Cole Barr scoring on a double play ball hit by Noelvi Marte. The righty from Destrehan, Louisiana ended up going seven innings for the win, giving up a run on five hits, striking out four and walking none.
Rinehart went four scoreless innings, giving up only one hit. Fred Villareal (2-1) pitched a clean 5th inning but was on the mound when Tri-City's offense roared to life in the 6th.
The Dust Devils struck eight hits in the inning, including two by Jose Guzman. Guzman's first hit followed a Christian Molfetta infield hit, putting two aboard for Tri-City for the first time in the ballgame.
Osmy Gregorio then singled to score Molfetta to tie the game. D'Shawn Knowles then blooped a double into left-center, scoring Guzman to give Tri-City the lead for good. A Mitch Nay 2-run single pushed the lead to 4-1, and an error followed by RBI singles by Edwin Yon and Guzman added three more runs for the final 7-1 margin.
Gregorio, Guzman and Nay all had multi-hit games, with Nay extending his hitting streak to six games.

It's $21 An Out Night, presented by Andrea Gathwright with Century 21. Every time the Dust Devils get an out on defense, a lucky fan will win $21.
