Tri-City Diesel Quiet the Thunder

Tri-City Diesel News Release


Kearney, Nebraska-The Tri-City Diesel blew out the Wichita Falls, TX Thunder with a score of 48-19. The Diesel led the Thunder the entire game and went into halftime with a score of 35-9.

The Diesel defense was stingy while the Diesel offense was greedy. The Diesel defense held the Thunder scoreless for the first 22 minutes of the game. The Diesel held Wichita Falls to a total of 134 passing and rushing yards for the game.

Alex Neist and Wes Cates led the way for the Tri-City Diesel. Cates had 118 yards rushing with three touchdowns and 21 yards receiving for the night. Neist had 88 yards in the air and three of his completions were for touchdowns.

This win for the Diesel gives them a three game winning streak. The Diesel will travel next week to take on The Red Dogs of Rapid City, SD to try and improve their streak to four.
