
Trent Bonnet Signs with Surge

A standout defenseman from Bentley University has signed with the Mississippi surge for the 2012-13 Southern Professional Hockey League season.
Trent Bonnett, 6-foot-2,205 pounds, played four years for Bentley. Three of those seasons he qualified for the Atlantic Hockey all-academic team.
"Trent has tremendous potential to be a solid defenseman for us," Surge head coach Jeff Bes said. "I'm looking forward to seeing him in action."
"I'm excited to get down to the coast. I hear there are loyal fans and it's a great place to play," Bonnett said. "I'm excited to get started."
The Surge will begin its fourth season of play in the SPHL on Saturday October 27th at home against the Pensacola Ice Flyers. Once again, this season, the Surge will have 28 home games at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.
