Daytona Beach Thunder News Release

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - If you have a mother, she gets in free.

If you are a mother, then call that lazy ingrate you call a kid and tell 'em YOU WANNA SEE SOME FOOTBALL and it ain't gonna cost 'em a thing. Ahem.

That's the Daytona Beach Thunder's Mother Day Promotion on Saturday, May 13. All mothers get in free with their kids, no matter what the age of the kid, or the mom.

Bring your mom to see a big game - the Thunder is hosting the defending American Indoor Football League champions Richmond Bandits - that has serious playoff implications. Daytona Beach is fighting for the fourth and final post-season spot, and we can maybe even move up to third if we win this game.

And if you're too dang cheap to buy her a nice present - do we have to do everything for you? - you can win an 18 karat yellow gold Mother and Child pendant, on an 18 karat yellow gold necklace valued at over $650 provided by Aaron Kilman Jewelers.

The pendant's the perfect gift for Mother's Day! There are many imitations of this mother and child design, however, this baby is the ORIGINAL that started the trend. If you don't win it, visit their store on Nova Road in Port Orange, next to Beall's.

Daytona Beach (5-5) hosts the Bandits (8-2) Saturday at 7 p.m at PBS 15 Field in the Ocean Center. Other activities that day include a dance camp at 1 p.m. and the tailgate party beginning at 3 p.m. at Ocean walk Shoppes. For more information, call (386) 427-1588.
