Training Camp Schedule Released

The Detroit Hitmen is announcing their training camp schedule. This will be the inaugural training camp for the Hitmen. Training camp will consist of two daily ice sessions Monday through Thursday. Friday will consist of a morning skate before heading to Battle Creek, MI for the team's first preseason game. Camp will conclude Saturday night at home, where the Hitmen will host the Revolution at 8:15pm. All of training camp will take place at their host rink, Great Lakes Sports City, in Fraser Michigan.
Coach Wiedenhoeft was anxious and pleased about camp. "This is an exciting time for me and the organization. All of our hard work is finally paying off. When we hit the ice on Monday, all of team's staff and I will feel a sense of relief." He added, "The Hitmen organization has come to fruition in a short period of time. Once the team takes the ice, there is still a large task sitting in front of all of us."
The Hitmen will be taking part in a morning scrimmage accompanied with an afternoon of drills and conditioning skates. The camp will consist of 4 goalies and approximately 22 skaters. The Hitmen are going to be high octane competitive team. "This camp is going to be very competitive. The talent in the Detroit Metro Area will be accompanied with a select few others brought in to make the team," stated Wiedenhoeft. "All of the players chosen are here for a reason. They all want to win a championship, and I am going to do everything possible to deliver that to the community," finished Wiedenhoeft
The Detroit Hitmen host of the Battle Creek Revolution Saturday night, the second game of the home-and-home preseason schedule. The game starts at 8:15pm, with tickets prices at $3. Season tickets will be available to be purchased during the game. Players will be in the lobby directly after the game for fans to meet them and receive autographs.
