September 26, 2009 - All American Hockey League (AAHL)
Detroit Hitmen News Release

The Detroit Hitmen have added three more players to the camp roster. Dan Isenhath, Zach Crandle, and Emory Lovse. The three new additions will add depth to roster coming into camp. With training camp rapidly approaching, adding players like this help boost the competitiveness.

Dan Isenhath is a native of Toledo, Ohio. Dan was first seen by the Hitmen's coach in Battle Creek's last free agent camp last season. He suffered a mild injury, yet did return for a three game stint at the end of the season. "I remembered Dan very well when I heard of his interest in playing for the Hitmen," stated Wiedenhoeft. He continued, "Dan will bring depth to our forward lines, and should put up a numbers in this league. He has size, great hands, and allows the play to develop before forcing the puck." Dan said, "I'm looking forward to playing in Detroit, being a goal scorer for the team. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to play professionally close to home." Isenhath played for the Wooster Warriors of the MAHL before last season's stint with the Revolution.

Zach Crandle is from Jackson, Michigan. Zach played last season with the Central Michigan University Chippewas, an ACHA Division II team. Zach attended the Hockey Talent Management free agent camp last weekend, and performed well. "Zach has good speed and puck awareness. These are assets to find in a rookie," said Wiedenhoeft. "I feel Zach has the attitude and ability to play in Detroit," finished the coach. Zach said, "I am thrilled to have the opportunity to turn pro. I am going to show everything I have in the Hitmen camp, and hope to stick for the season." Zach plays the wing, and brings a great attitude to his game.

Emory Lovse resides in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Emory played four years at Calvin College, where he won a national championship. He played this past season with the Evansville Icemen in the AAHL. "Emory changed my mind on him this past weekend in the HTM free agent camp. He led the skate with majors, and worked hard for everything he had," voiced Wiedenhoeft. He concluded, "Lovse is going to make the transition to defense in order to make this team. I played against him as a defenseman, and I feel this will be to his benefit as his career goes on." Emory mentioned, "I am glad to have this opportunity. I feel that the move to the blue-line will be beneficial for team and me." Emory has great attitude and doesn't mind mixing it up if the time is right.

On another note, Peter Pritchett who was invited to camp from the team's free agent camp has accepted a camp invite from the Port Huron Icehawks. We sent Peter to their free agent camp to get looked at, and he performed beyond expectations. We wish him the best, and look forward to watching him during their camp.

The Detroit Hitmen open up training camp October 12 at 11am. The schedule will be 11-1 and 4:45pm-6:15pm each day, except Friday. The Hitmen play a home and home with the Revolution October 16 and 17. The Hitmen host the Revolution on October 17, with tickets at $3 per person.
