Moose Jaw Warriors News Release
In the lead up to the Moose Jaw Warriors' first training camp in two years, MJWarriors.ca is breaking down the statistics of the 46 players invited to this year's camp.
The largest age group at this year's training camp will be the 2004 age group, which will see 14 players on the ice fighting for spots on the Warriors for the 2021-22 season.
Kobie Anderson - RW - 5'9, 155 lbs.
Anderson will be attending his first training camp with the Warriors.
The North Battleford product is a listed player and comes in after playing three games, posting three goals and four points, for the Battlefords Stars in the Saskatchewan Male Under-18 AAA Hockey League last season.
In 2019-20, Anderson had six goals and 14 points in 39 games with the Saskatoon Blazers in the SMAAAHL.

Jagger Firkus - C - 5'10, 150 lbs.
Firkus, a 2019 fourth round pick, made his Warriors debut in 2019-20 and is entering his second full season in Moose Jaw.
Last season in the Subway WHL Hub, Firkus finished with six goals and 14 points in 23 games.

Matthew Gallant - RD - 5'10, 172 lbs.
Gallant will be hitting the ice for his first training camp with the Warriors.
The Lanley, B.C. product has suited up with two teams in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League's Under-18 Prep division over the past two seasons, putting up eight assists in 39 games.

Hudson Malinoski - C - 5'10, 168 lbs.
This will be Malinoski's second training camp with the Warriors after suiting up at the 2019 edition.
Malinoski posted four assists in four games last season with the Saskatoon Blazers in the Saskatchewan Male Under-18 AAA Hockey League.
In 2019-20, the Saskatoon product finished with 13 goals and 42 points in 33 games with the Saskatoon Riverkings in the Saskatchewan Under-18 AA Hockey League.

Mateychuk, the Warriors' first round pick in 2019, will be entering his second season in a Warriors' uniform this season.
The Dominion City, MB product appeared in 16 games in the Subway WHL Hub last season, picking up two goals and nine points with a minus-eight rating and eight penalty minutes.

Carter McLeod - RW - 6'0, 183 lbs.
Yellowknife, Northwest Territories product Carter McLeod will be making his way to Moose Jaw for his second training camp with the Warriors.
McLeod suited up in three games with the Edge School's under-18 prep squad in 2020-21 season, which was shortened due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2019-20, he finished with eight goals and 22 points in 33 games with the Edge School's Elite 15 team.

McKale Paul - LD - 6'2, 185 lbs.
Paul will be making the short drive down the Trans-Canada Highway from Swift Current for his second training camp with the Warriors.
Paul played six games with the Moose Jaw AAA Warriors in the Saskatchewan Male Under-18 AAA Hockey League in 2020-21, finishing with one goal and 12 penalty minutes.
In 2019-20 with the Prairie Hockey Academy, Paul posted six goals, 17 points and 86 penalty minutes in 34 games.

Matthew Perkins - C - 5'9, 134 lbs.
Perkins is preparing to attend his first training camp with the Warriors.
The White City, SK product is familiar with Mosaic Place after playing the past two seasons with the Moose Jaw AAA Warriors.
In six games during the 2020-21 season, Perkins had one goal and six points. He posted four goals and 10 points in 17 games with the AAA Warriors in 2019-20.

Nathan Pilling - LW - 6'2, 185 lbs.
Pilling, a Calgary product, will be making his second appearance at Warriors' training camp in 2021.
Pilling had two goals in five games during a pandemic-shortened season with the Calgary Flames under-18 AAA team in 2020-21.
The previous season, he picked up 24 goals and 49 points in 37 games with the NWCAA Bruins under-16 AAA team.

Luke Robson - C - 5'7, 150 lbs.
Robson is taking part in his second training camp with the Warriors after originally being selected by the team in the ninth round, 178th overall, in the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft.
Robson was an assistant captain last season with the Southwest Cougars in the Manitoba Under-18 Hockey League, putting up three goals and 10 points in eight games.
In 2019-20 with the Cougars, Robson had 12 goals and 22 points in 44 games.

A 2019 tenth round pick in the WHL Bantam Draft, Schaan will making his second appearance in Moose Jaw for training camp.
Schaan hit the ice for two games last season in the pandemic shortened year with the Central Plains Capitals in the Manitoba Under-18 Hockey League, finishing with two penalty minutes.
In 2019-20, the Portage La Prairie product had five goals and 16 points in 35 games with the Rink Hockey Academy's Elite 15 team.

Tate Schofer - RW - 5'8, 153 lbs.
Schofer, a Regina product, is attending his first training camp with the Warriors.
Schofer posted three goals and six points in seven games last season with the Regina Pat Canadians in the Saskatchewan Male Under-18 AAA Hockey League.
The previous season, he put up 14 goals and 28 points in 34 games with the Prairie Hockey Academy.

Thomas Tien - RW - 5'6, 170 lbs.
After being taken in the 11th round of the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft, Tien has signed with the Warriors and will be taking part in his second training camp with the club.
Last season in four games with the St. George's School under-18 prep squad, Tien posted two goals and four penalty minutes.
The Richmond, BC product was the fifth-highest scorer in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League in 2019-20 with 35 goals and 80 points in 42 games with St. George's School.

Jaden Waddell - RD - 6'0, 185 lbs.
Originally selected in the sixth round, 117th overall, in the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft by the Warriors, Waddell will be hitting the ice for his first training camp with the team.
The Winnipeg product suited up in five games last season with the Winnipeg Freeze in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.
He played only two playoff games in 2019-20 with the Rink Hockey Academy's under-18 prep team.

The Warriors will host 46 players for their 2021 training camp starting on Tuesday at Mosaic Place. The first on-ice sessions are on Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.
