The Tulsa Talons, of the af2, have officially been assigned, FB/LB Aaron Chavers and OL/DL Barrett Allen. Both former Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz, are returning to the af2 for their 3rd season.

Aaron Chavers, (6-3, 270 lbs), joins the Talons after playing the last two seasons with the Yard Dawgz. In 2007, Chavers recorded 29 total tackles (21 solo), 9 sacks, and 3 pass break-ups. He played in all 16 regular season games, where he became the franchise single-season sack leader. He saw limited action in 2006 for the Dawgz, playing in only 3 games. Chavers played College Football for the University of North Texas, earning first letter in 2003, recording 13 total tackles.

Barrett Allen, (6-4, 265 lbs), joins the Talons for his third year of arena ball. In 2007, Allen played in 15 regular season games for the Yard Dawgz, collecting 14.5 total tackles (9 solo), 6.5 sacks, and 1 pass break-up. He also received some playing time for the Dawgz in both 06 and 05 seasons. Prior the af2, Allen played College ball at Abilene Christian.

"Barrett and Aaron were two of the best defensive linemen that we faced this past season. J.R. Conrad did a great job of putting these guys in the position to make plays. They both play with high energy from start to finish and bring the intensity that we like in our athletes. We're looking forward to them being a big part of our team next season," said Head Coach Mitch Allner.
