North Iowa Outlaws News Release
Mason City (IA) A tight division race that is likely to head into the final weekend of the regular season will be enticing enough to bring locals out to see the North Iowa Outlaws over the next two months, but those attending will have additional reasons beyond hockey, to leave with a smile on their face.
The Outlaws have announced a few add-ons to their promotional calendar, including a pair of new giveaways and the return of the team's special jersey weekend.
Along with radio station 102.7 The Blaze the Outlaws will be giving away special "Outlaws Nation" posters to the first 500 fans at the February 13th home game. The Outlaws face the Owatonna Express at 8pm that night.
Then on March 13-14, the Outlaws will present "Harley-Davidson Jersey Weekend" when they take on the Owatonna Express with the team donning special motorcycle-themed jerseys sponsored by the Mason City Harley-Davidson dealership. In years' past, the Outlaws have worn special uniforms to celebrate St. Patrick's Day and other events, with fans having the opportunity to bid on those jerseys following the last game they were used. That tradition will remain as fans can take home their favorite player's uniform with the post-game auction on March 14th.
The promotional calendar rounds out on Sunday March 29th with the addition of Team Trading Card Giveaway Night sponsored by Crown Point Builders of Garner. The first 500 fans to the Outlaws' 5pm game versus Albert Lea will receive a free edition of the official 2008-2009 Outlaws' team cards. In years past, fans had to pay for the trading cards, something the Outlaws' wanted to change this season.
North Iowa is back home this Saturday at 7:30pm against the Alexandria Blizzard.
The North Iowa Outlaws Hockey Club is in its fourth season as members of the North American Hockey League. The NAHL is the nation's largest Junior A hockey league and is now in its 33nd year of operation. For more information, visit northiowaoutlaws.com or call (641) 424-5468.
