
Trade Deadline Brings One Move

NEW YORK (Wednesday, August 14, 2002) - There was one transaction which took place ahead of Major League Soccer's trade deadline which expired at 5:00 p.m. ET today. D.C. United and the Los Angeles Galaxy engaged in a conditional trade. In order to protect the integrity of this transaction, details of the trade will be announced at a later date.
At the conclusion of the regular season (Sunday, September 22) a roster freeze will take place ahead of the MLS Cup Playoffs. No additions can be made to any roster after this date. MLS teams can resume trade activity following MLS Cup 2002 on Sunday, October 20.
