Tough Night for Dashers; Drop Opening Game
Published on October 29, 2011 under Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL) News Release
It was a tough opening night for the Dashers as they dropped their inaugural game to the Thousand Islands Privateers. The final score showed 13-5, with a final shot total of 70-31.
Michael Richard and Justin Levac led the Privateers in scoring with 6 points a piece, while Robert Mazins led the Dashers with a goal and an assist. Thousand Islands finished the night 1 for 3 on the man advantage while Danville went 0 for 1. The Dashers finally found their feet by the end of the game and the skate finished much more competitive than the final score suggested.
The Dashers look to rebound quickly tomorrow as the same two teams take to the ice at 2:05 pm.
