Toros to Begin Their Final Homestand of the Season on Thursday

Tucson, AZ - The Tucson Toros will finish their regular season schedule with an exciting 9-game homestand beginning at Hi Corbett on Thursday, August 26th at 7:00 p.m. when they will host the Edmonton Capitals. After an off day on Monday, August 30th, the team will play the St. George Roadrunners and the Yuma Scorpions for five straight days to wrap up the regular season on Saturday, September 4th.

The jam-packed homestand will feature fan favorite weekly promotions as well as some very special events. The homestand will begin with a Thirsty Thursday. Friday will bring fireworks and Toros Taste for A Cure, a event at the ballpark from 6-8:00 p.m. with food and wine pairings by Elle Restaurant and wine education by Jon Rogers of Wines Without the Mystery for just $30 with all proceeds benefiting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

The first 1,000 fans through the gates with paid admission on Saturday, August 28th will receive the Toros 2010 Trading Card Set, with an autograph session after gates open. Saturday will also feature a Faith Night Concert, when fans can buy a wristband to see concerts by Christian musicians of all genres performing before an after the game.

Thursday, September 2nd will be the last chance for fans to enjoy beers, soft drinks, and lemonade this season during Thirsty Thursday. Friday will be the final Fireworks Friday of the season and the last day for fans to register to win Cessna 150 in the Toros Pitch For A Plane Giveaway, which will be given away to the pre-qualifier with the most accurate pitch on Saturday, September 4th. FIREWORKS FRIDAY! - The skies will dazzle with Tucson's most innovative fireworks show following the game.

Saturday, August 28, 7:00 p.m. vs. Edmonton (Gates open at 6:00 p.m.)

FREE SOUVENIR SATURDAY/FAITH NIGHT CONCERT - FREE 2010 Tucson Toros Team Trading Card Set to the first 1,000 fans through the gates with paid admission. There will be a pre-game team autograph signing of the trading cards.

Following the game, there will be a Faith Night Concert on the field.

DOLLAR DOG SUNDAY - Enjoy Hebrew National Hot Dogs for just a dollar all night long!

TOROS TEEN TUESDAY - Special events for teenagers all night in our Teen Pavilion.
