Orange County, CA - The Tucson Toros lost the first game of their Saturday doubleheader 2-1, but bounced back by defeating the Flyers 9-5 in the second contest to wrap up the first half of the season on a winning note.

In the opener the Toros were held to just 3 hits, 2 of which came off of the bat of CF Lino Garcia who would finish the day with a .357 batting average, good for 8th in the GBL. The Flyers scored both of their runs off of reliever Jesse Orosco Jr. handing him his first loss and marring the spotless 0.00 ERA he carried into the outing. Despite the rough outing Orosco Jr.'s ERA still stands at 2.16 in 8 1/3 innings. Bello finished the game with 2 scoreless innings and a pair of punchouts.

Tucson's bats came alive in the nightcap, banging out 14 hits in the 7 inning contest. All of the teams scoring occurred in just 2 frames, with 4 runs scored in the 4th and another 5 in the 6th. Three Toros led the way with multi-hit games.
