Tucson, AZ - The Tucson Toros dominated the Chico Outlaws at home on Wednesday, with a 16-4 thrashing at Hi Corbett Field.

Lorenzo Barcelo improved his season mark to 4-0 as he went seven innings deep to earn the win. Barcelo gave up three runs, on seven hits and he struck out seven Chico batters. Andrew Alvarado (0-1) took the loss for Chico as he failed to get out of the second inning.

Tom Wilhelmsen and Jordan Muir combined to pitch the final two innings. Wilhelmsen gave up one run, on two hits, in the eighth, and Muir pitch a scoreless ninth, where he didn't give up any hits and fanned one Outlaw batter.

The Toros pounded out 24 hits in the win. Skip Adams led the way as he extended his hitting streak to 12 games with a 4-5 performance. Adams also scored four runs and drove in five RBI; three of his RBI came on an inside-the-park homerun in the sixth.

Luis Apodaca and Jim Rushford each had four hits. Apodaca went 4-5 and scored three runs while Rushford went 4-6, with three RBI.

The final game of the three-game set is scheduled for 7:00 pm, Thursday night, at Hi Corbett Field.
