Toros Add Game to Schedule
June 1, 2009 - Golden Baseball League (GBL)
Tucson Toros News Release
Tucson, AZ - The Tucson Toros have added a bonus midseason exhibition game against "IPB", International Performance Baseball, this Thursday, June 4th at 7:00 at Hi Corbett Field. The contest will not only give fans an additional chance to root on the Toros this summer, but also adds another Thirsty Thursday, featuring dollar beverages until two hours after the first pitch. Normal ticket pricing will apply.
The Toros will faceoff against an IPB squad filled with top talent looking to raise their stock in the Major League Baseball Amateur Draft, scheduled to take place just five days later on June 9th. The game result and statistics will not apply to the GBL regular season, but will be yet another chance for the Toros to compete against a top caliber opponent.
Season tickets for June 23rd game previously scheduled against Tijuana Potros will be valid for admission to the exhibition game against the IPB.
The Toros are currently in the midst of a three-game home stand at Hi Corbett Field as they are hosting the Edmonton Capitals. Game two, of the three game series, is scheduled for Tuesday at 7:00 pm.
