Texas Tornado News Release
For the second straight game, the Texas Tornado gave up the final three goals, this time losing 4-3 in overtime to the St. Louis Bandits on Thursday night, in a game the Tornado should have won in regulation. The Tornado jumped out to a 2-0 lead with goals from #23 Stephane Da Costa and #7 Nielsson Arcibal. The 2nd period saw only one goal, this time from #9 Justin King, who smacked home a one-timer after a beautiful pass from Arcibal. However, the lead would not be enough. Thanks to some Tornado defensive breakdowns with a 3-1 lead, the Bandits climbed back in the game. A late hooking penalty in the 3rd period sealed the Tornado fate just :28 seconds into overtime, as Pat Maroon completely fooled the Tornado defense for a wrap-around game-winning goal. The series continues tonight, as the Tornado prepare to host the division-leading St. Louis Bandits for two more games at the Dr Pepper StarCenter in Frisco on Friday, January 19th and Saturday, January 20th. Face-off time is 7:30pm. Tickets for the series are available by stopping by or calling the Tornado office at 972-335-9800, or fans can Buy Tickets Now Online!
