December 14, 2007 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Fargo-Moorhead Jets News Release
(Fargo, ND) - Scott Zacharias (Winnipeg, ON, CA) may be new to the Jets but not new to the North American Hockey League.
After joining the Texas Tornado four short months ago, he has competed in 12 games, logged over 600 minutes while posting a 2-7 record, 3.40 GAA and .911 save percentage.
Scott have worked extra hard not only in the NAHL but first for the Syracuse Stars of Eastern Junior Hockey League.
"Since coming to the NAHL I noticed how much more physical, faster and the players are especially with the puck," Zacharias commented.
In the summers Scott works out with Ian Clark goal tending coach for Vancouver Canucks on techniques, positioning and battling. Being only 18 he has come along way from his high school playing days.
"I like the practices better here in Fargo because it's freer and with the 4 on 4 to communicate better helping puck awareness," Scott said briefly.
After a full week of practice with his new team and home Scott feels good about the situation and looks to make a sudden impact.
The FM Jets Junior A Hockey Club is in its fifth season as members of the North American Hockey League. The NAHL is the nation's largest Junior A hockey league and is now in its 32nd year of operation. For more information, visit fmjets.com or call (701) 235-2354.
