Top Prospects Tournament Ends With North Division Loss

Troy, MI- In the last game of the annual North American Hockey League's Top Prospects Tournament, The well-represented Kalamazoo Jr. K-Wings and the rest of Team North dropped their afternoon contest by a score of 5-2 on Wednesday.

Team North, who was coached by Kalamazoo head coach, Marc Fakler and Port Huron head coach, Bill Warren, won their first two games of the tournament with relative ease, but struggled against a Central Division team with a high-powered offense.

Brock Raffaele was the only member of Kalamazoo who found the score sheet with his third period goal early in the third period.

Kalamazoo defenseman, Chris Leone along with forwards Drew Graves and Robbie Payne were all minus-two in the game.

Playing with the 18u Prospects team, Kalamazoo defenseman, Brett Beauvais was a part of his team's 5-1 loss to Team Midwest.

Beauvais was minus-one with a shot on goal.

The Jr. K-Wings will return to the Borgess Health Rink at Wings West again on Sunday, February 25th against the St. Louis Bandits.
