"Second" Half Starts: The Orlando Seals resume play in the regular season tonight following last night's all-star game, taking on the Macon Trax. All Seals games are available on www.IRN.FM and all home games have streaming video available at www.IRN.FM. Fans in the arena can access the broadcast at 96.7 FM.
Records: The Seals are 17-9-2 with 36 points in fourth place in WHA2.
Macon is 13-12-4 with 30 points in fifth place in WHA2.
Season Series: This is the sixth time these two teams have met this season. The Seals have won the last three meetings, after dropping the first two to Macon. The last time these teams met, the Seals took a 2-1 decision in Macon on January 3rd.
Recent Results: The Seals are looking to get back on the winning track after dropping their last three games. The Seals dropped a 4-1 decision at Jacksonville on Sunday. Macon has lost four straight, however two of those were in overtime. The last game was a 7-6 overtime loss at Miami Sunday.
Power Play: Seals 21-130 16.2% 6th Macon 27-138 19.6% 3rd
Penalty Kill: Seals 89-110 80.9% 3rd Macon 123-143 86.0% 1st
Shining Bright: both of these teams had players play key roles in last night's 7-6 overtime win for the WHA2 all-star team over the Jacksonville Barracudas. Seals goaltender David Goverde stopped 22 of 24 shots he faced, and also added an assist. Mike Fournier had two assists and was the Seals top point man in the game. Macon's Steve Zoryk had two goals and two assists and was named the games most valuable player.
Next Up: The Seals will start a stretch of three games in three nights, hosting the Lakeland Loggerheads Friday night. It will be Faith Night, with a postgame concert from Dove Award winning Christian Band, Brother's Keeper. Because of the concert, the start time for Friday's game has been moved to 7:05 p.m.
