
Tomahawks Fall to Jets on Friday Night

The Johnstown Tomahawks took the early 1-0 lead on Friday night, but three second period goals gave the Janesville Jets the 4-2 win on Friday night at the Janesville Ice Arena. The loss extends the Tomahawks losing streak to six games, the longest of the season.
Ian Spencer opened the scoring with his second goal of the season 3:50 into the first period. Filips Buncis and Dalton Hunter each added assists on the goal.
The Jets tied the game late in the first period, as Dan Kucerovy converted the man advantage at 16:59. Mitch Fossier and Grant Hutton each added assists on the power-play goal.
The Jets power play unit gave them their first lead of the game, as Zach Lavalle scored 2:52 into the second period. Adam Winborg and Evan Feno scored at 6:40 and 12:25 to extend the Jets lead to 4-1.
Casey Linkenheld got the Tomahawks within two, taking a pass from Ian Spencer before scoring in his third straight game at 14:41 of the second period.
Matt Jurusik earned the win, stopping 17 of 19 shots. Ryan Bednard suffered the loss, stopping 29 of 33 shots. The Tomahawks went 0-for-6 on the power play, while Janesville went 2-for-2
