Johnstown Tomahawks News Release
The Johnstown Tomahawks defeated the Port Huron Fighting Falcons 4-2 on Friday night at McMorran Arena in Port Huron Mich.
The Tomahawks got on the board first as Logan Hudson scored at 7:21 of the first period. Tommy Hall provided the assist on the goal.
Bryce VanHorn tied the game for the Fighting Falcons, scoring at 11:27 of the first period.
Joe Drabin and Cody Bentzel made it 3-1 with goals at 4:44 and 6:57 of the second period. Bentzel added the assist on the first goal, while Tyler Basham and Zach Wallace added assists on the power-play goal.
Vito Aluia scored at 14:41 of the second to cut the Port Huron deficit to one. The score remained the same until Matthew Meier scored an empty net goal with 14 seconds remaining in regulation to set the final at 4-2.
Jake Moore earned the win, stopping 43 of 45 shots. Akex Blankenburg took the loss, allowing three goals on 27 shots.
The Tomahawks and Fighting Falcons conclude their weekend series tomorrow night at 7 p.m.
