Tom Crean signs Wave Harley

MILWAUKEE (Jan. 15, 2008) - Tom Crean has led the Marquette Golden Eagles men's basketball team to 20 wins in four of his first eight seasons, and has MU off to a 13-2 mark this season.

Known well for his fierce commitment to excellence and his association with the Briggs and Stratton Al's Run, and a father himself, Crean was a natural choice to join the growing list of illustrious names on the Milwaukee Wave of Kindness Harley-Davidson.

Crean autographed the gas tank earlier today, putting his name alongside Bonnie Blair, Pele, Fuzzy Thurston and others on the custom-painted, 2008 Sportster XL 883.

All season long, fans can buy raffle tickets to win the bike that has been painted a special Milwaukee Wave blue and will be autographed by various celebrities throughout the winter. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5 and can be purchased online at www.milwaukeewave.com and at all Milwaukee Wave games.

The winning ticket will be drawn at the Major Indoor Soccer League championship game on April 26 at the U.S. Cellular Arena.

You can see the bike this Friday at Major Goolsby's, when the Wave throws a viewing party for their game at Detroit, beginning at 6:35 p.m. on Time Warner Sports. Come see the bike, meet Wave players and actor Mark Metcalf and enjoy food and specials.
