Milwaukee Wave United News Release

(Milwaukee, WI) Forward Todd Dusosky scored a pair of goals, including the game-winning tally in the 42nd minute to propel Milwaukee Wave United, the Wave's A-League (outdoor) team, to a 3-2 win over the Calgary Mustangs Wednesday night (7/14) at Uihlein Soccer Park. The win improved Milwaukee's overall record to 6-7-2 (20 points) while Calgary, which suffered its third straight loss, dropped to 2-9-3 (9 points). It was also Milwaukee's second straight win and extended Wave United's club record unbeaten streak to six straight games (5-0-1).

Dusosky registered the first goal of the match in the 5th minute when he put a header past Calgary goalkeeper Lutz Pfannenstiel from seven yards out. The Mustangs evened the score (1-1) in the 20th when Conrad Smith headed one past Wave United ‘keeper Jim Larkin from 10 yards away off a serve from Geert Brusselers.

Milwaukee regained the lead in the 34th minute when Chad Dombrowski converted on a header from point blank range off a corner kick from Johnny Torres. Calgary tied it up again (2-2) in the 36th when Steffen Holdt was able to nudge the ball past Larkin from eight yards out after a failed clearance by Milwaukee.

Dusosky scored the game-winner just six minutes later when he was able to corral a long pass from Ibrahim Kante and touch the ball past the charging Pfannenstiel from the middle of the box. Neither team scored in the second half as the two teams combined for just eight shots on goal in the latter period. Larkin had two saves in raising his record to 6-6-2; Pfannenstiel also registered two while dropping to 2-9-3.
