Cedar Rapids, IA - The Cedar Rapids Titans have signed former NFL fullback Stephen Campbell. Campbell (6'1", 230 lbs.) played fullback during two stints in the National Football League; one with the Indianapolis Colts and one with the Washington Redskins.
Campbell played collegiately at West Virginia Wesleyan University, an NCAA Division II program currently part of the Mountain East Conference. During his four year career at WVWU, Campbell suited up at tight end where he recorded 65 receptions for 608 yards and eight touchdowns.
Campbell's best season for the Bobcats came his junior year as he notched 38 receptions for 308 yards and five touchdowns. His efforts earned him All-West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors.
"Stephen has shown he's a versatile athlete," Titans co-owner and general manager Chris Kokalis stated. "He's played tight end as well as fullback and will be suiting up as a running back come February."
