Danbury, CT - The Titans began their weekend at home with a win against the visiting Berlin RiverDrivers by a score of 6-2.

Danbury came out hot as they jumped out to a 3-0 lead over Berlin. Zach Tatrn came down the wing and made a nice move before roofing the puck past Berlin's Brad Barone just 3:25 into the game. Shortly after, John Scorcia scored his first professional goal after picking up a rebound left in front and threw it in the net. Ryan Patsch continued the streak with a move to the outside and firing a shot to the far side that found the back of the net.

The 2nd period had a different feel as the game became tighter. Berlin caught a break when Berlin's Curtis Warren got the puck by goaltender Nick Niedert. His shorthanded goal cut the Titans' lead to 3-1. The RiverDrivers kept buzzing and scored another goal on a deflection in front by Cody Dion to bring the score to 3-2.

The Titans turned it up in the third period. Tatrn scored his second of the game just over six minutes in to begin pulling away when he shot five hole on goaltender Barone. From there the Titans battled hard and continued working until Brett Liscomb drilled a slapshot home to make it 5-2 with 3:59 left. Dean Yakura sealed the deal with 23 seconds remaining in the game.

Nick Niedert earned the win stopping 16 of 18 shots while Brad Barone earned the loss with 44 saves on 50 shots.

The Titans next home game is tomorrow Sunday November 22 at 6:05 PM as they host the Brewster Bulldogs. Tickets are available by visiting www.danburytitans.com or calling 844-DTHOCKEY.
