Demolition Honor the Military, Sinks Brewster 6-2

November 22, 2015 - Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL) - Dayton Demolition News Release

DAYTON, OHIO - The Dayton Demolition honored our nation's military with a special night, a special jersey, and a 6-2 unleashing on the Brewster Bulldogs.

Dayton got on the board in the midst of the 1st, with Tom Tracy lighting the lamp for the fourth time this season. Tracy's tally was part of a 5-on-4 Power Play, just after an expiring two-man advantage. Just nineteen seconds after the Demolition goal, Brewster answered back with Nicolai Oklolbistyn's second of the year on a re-direct back, passing by Brian Haude. After twenty minutes ticked off the scoreboard, both teams had one goal apiece.

In the 2nd period, Dayton took the lead that never relinquished for the match. The Demolition's Martin Uhnak scored his first of the year, on a comeback pass from the goal line from Michael Dolman and Tom Tracy at the 9:53 mark. Dayton added one more from Cody Milligan (his 3rd tally and a Power Play score) with some help for Rich Ledy's third assist. Dayton led 3-1 after two periods.

The 3rd period brought the fireworks you'd expect from a 4th of July celebration, with a couple of multi-player fights and some Empty-Netter goals for Dayton. At the 5:34 mark, Dayton's Tristian Lysko and Brewster's Ryan Dolence tangled together after a previous fight. Both gentlemen were issued Game Misconducts for that late fight. Fans would wait until the 16:58 for the next blast of goal horns, with Derrick Schwartz hitting in the third Power Play goal for the Demolition on the night. Brewster got one last goal after another massive tangle between Jide Idowu (DAY) and the Bulldogs' MJ Graham. John Scully scratches home a goal to close the deal to a Dayton 4-2 lead at the 17:56 mark.

Dayton would take advantage on Coach David Lun's aggressiveness with the Extra Attacker, which began with 4:48 to go in the 3rd. Derrick Schwartz and Michael Lipari would cash in to finish a 6-2 victory over Brewster.

With the Dayton win, the Demolition improved to 2-2-2 and 2-0 against teams from the Northeast. Brewster fell to 0-3 against Midwest teams and 2-4 overall. Dayton out-shot Brewster 55-32 for the game. The Demolition now make the short trip to Danville on Sunday before hosting the same Dasher crew on Friday, November 27th at 7:30.
