Orlando Titans News Release

Orlando Titans goaltender Matt Vinc has been voted the National Lacrosse League's Player of the Month for the month of February. Toronto Rock forward Stephan Leblanc is the league's Rookie of the Month for February. Vinc is the second goaltender to win the monthly award this season (Bob Watson was the January Player of the Month). Both Rookie of the Month awards this season have been won by Toronto Rock players, as Leblanc joins teammate Garrett Billings, who won the award for January.

For the month of February, Vinc went 2-1 in three games played and led all starting goaltenders with an 8.62 Goals Against Average. Vinc posted a save percentage of.838 for the month, stopping 145 out of 173 shots faced. He was the league's Defensive Player of the Week after a 52 saves performance against Toronto on February 27. Vinc also played all 76 minutes of the longest game in league history, a 12-11 loss to Boston in Double Overtime on February 20.

Stephan Leblanc won the Rookie of the Month Award for a productive February, scoring 14 goals and 17 assists for a total of 31 points in six games. Leblanc had back-to-back stellar weeks early in the month, winning consecutive Rookie of the Week awards. On the weekend of February 5-6, he scored five goals and nine assists in helping the Rock win games over Philadelphia and Buffalo. On the following weekend of February 12-14, Leblanc contributed five goals and six assists for eleven points spread over two games in a weekend split. The Rock rookie has posted at least three points in all ten games he has played in so far this season.

The awards are voted on by the General Managers & Head Coaches of the league's eleven member clubs.
