Titans Enhance Roster with FA/AHL Moves

TRENTON, NJ - The Trenton Titans, ECHL member and proud affiliate of the NHL's Philadelphia Flyers, have announced the addition of 13 players to bolster their roster prior to the October 12 season opener.

Assigned by Adirondack (AHL) via Philadelphia (NHL): Forwards Jason Akeson, Marcel Nobels, Luke Pither and Ian Slater; Defensemen Tyler Hostetter and Blake Kessel; Goalie Niko Hovinen.

Returned from Adirondack: Defenseman Mike Banwell.

Assigned by Albany (AHL): Forward Bryan Haczyk.

Added to roster: Defensemen Mitch Versteeg, Ryan Grimshaw, Connor Goggin and Eric Baier.

Tuesday's on the radio are now "Titans Tuesdays" throughout the hockey season, as Head Coach Vince Williams takes to the airways twice. First, he will be interviewed live on WCTC-1450 AM at 1:25 pm to talk about the team. Then at 8 pm, he will join Titans' broadcaster Daryle Dobos on the Trenton Titans Coaches Show on the Titans' flagship station, 107.7 FM The Bronc. The show will broadcast live from Killarney's Publick House in Hamilton Township, NJ.

The Trenton Titans returned in the 2011-12 hockey season after a five year hiatus and boasted a 26.1% increase in attendance over the previous year, the largest of any team in the 20-team ECHL. Opening Night for the 2012-13 season is October 12 at home against the Greenville Road Warriors.
