New Mexico Scorpions News Release
[ RIO RANCHO, N.M.]- The New Mexico Scorpions, proud member of the Central Hockey League (CHL), is proud to present the annual "Tip A Scorpion Night" held Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at Boston's The Gourmet Pizza, located on Jefferson at I-25 from 6-9 p.m. This year's event will benefit the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central New Mexico organization.
On this night the Scorpions will set aside their hockey uniforms for a different type of outfit. Players will serve as waiters and hosts from 6-9 p.m. All "tips" the Scorpions receive while serving patrons will be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central New Mexico. In addition, Boston 's The Gourmet Pizza will donate 10% of all proceeds during these three hours.
Whether you're a Scorpions' fan, pizza lover, or just want to help a good cause, "Tip A Scorpion Night" is a community event that captures all three. Everyone is invited to enjoy a great meal, great company, and to take part in a charitable organization. The New Mexico Scorpions will autograph memorabilia and take pictures with fans and supporters of this annual night
Since 1969, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central New Mexico (BBBS-CNM) has been creating magic in children's lives. BBBS-CNM works to help boys and girls achieve their potential by matching them one-to-one in positive relationships with adult volunteers. A volunteer does not need any special skills to be a Big Brother or Big Sister. They need just 4 hours per month and the desire to have fun with a child in the community or at a school. Volunteers are needed to serve the 3,000 kids in need in our community, and to eliminate the two-year waiting list for boys wanting Big Brothers. Find out about the different ways you can help your community with Big Brothers Big Sisters at www.bbbs-cnm.org.
Boston 's is a full-service, pizza-themed, casual dining restaurant and sports bar. Open late night, every night, Boston 's offers incredible gourmet pizzas, pastas, entrée size salads, sandwiches and the largest kids' menu in the casual dining category. An upbeat casual family dining room and a lively sports bar to view all your favorite teams, make Boston 's a truly unique dining experience.
