
Bucks Promote Healthy Living

LAREDO, Texas - The defending 2005-06 CHL President's Cup Champion Laredo Bucks announced in a press conference today at the LEC that they will promote healthy living choices at their next two home games. The third annual Give Blood Play Hockey blood drive will take place on Saturday at the LEC beginning at 10 a.m. benefiting the South Texas Blood & Tissue Center. This coming Wednesday the Bucks will play their annual Kid's Day Game presented by McDonald's at 11 a.m. This Saturday face off is set for 7:30 p.m. It's Biker Night at the LEC with the first 2,000 fans getting a Bucks license plate holder courtesy of Harley Davidson. Plus the Bucks will wear special Biker jerseys which will be auctioned off after the game. Fans can take advantage of the Bucks Biker Night Four Pack, featuring four tickets, four hot dogs, four sodas and one large bucket of popcorn for just $48. The Bucks are offering a family four pack of season tickets for the 2006-07 CHL regular season, which works out to just over $7 a seat per game and is a 48 % savings off walkup prices. Fans who donate blood on Saturday will receive a voucher good for two tickets to the Bucks game on Sunday, December 10th. In addition they will receive a mini physical, Bucks Blood Drive t-shirt and be entered in a drawing to win great prizes from Lack's Furniture, Circuit City, Harley Davidson, the LEC and the Laredo Bucks.
Ronald McDonald will be on hand on Wednesday as the Bucks host the Corpus Christi Rayz in an 11 a.m. McDonald's Kids Day Game. Tickets are $8.50 for all ages. Meal vouchers can be purchased for $4.50 which include a meal and a soda.
On Wednesday McDonald's will be promoting the healthy eating choices that their menu features. In addition McDonald's is encouraging the youth of America to understand the keys to living balanced, active lives thru their "it's what I eat and what I do...I'm lovin' it" theme.
As a longtime sponsor of the Olympics, McDonald's has been an active sports participant and with the launch of their Passport to Play program in September of 2005 they are encouraging children to be more active in unique and fun ways during grade school physical education classes. 2006-07 BUCKS SINGLE GAME TICKETS ON SALE
- Single game tickets for the Bucks start at $14.95. Of the 32 home games, 25 will take place on either a Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
Game times will remain the same for the 2006-07 season. Weekday games begin at 7 p.m., while Friday and Saturday night games are at 7:30 p.m. Sunday games will be at 4 p.m.

- There will be post-game skates at the LEC following Friday, Saturday and Sunday games. The only exceptions will be if there is a post-game jersey auction, there will not be a post-game skate.
