'Tip A Knighthawk' charity event Thursday

The Knighthawks lacrosse team is hosting the inaugural "Tip a Knighthawk" charity event to benefit CURE Childhood Cancer Association. Players, dance team members, The Amerks Moose and Bugaboo's mascot, Moxie the Moose, will wait tables and sign autographs to help raise money for CURE.
Further, the festivities include a raffle featuring donations from local businesses and area sports teams. The Chinese auction contains autographed items from the Amerks, Knighthawks, Rochester Rhinos, Rochester Rattlers, the National Lacrosse League and Major League Lacrosse. Patrons can also give a $5 tip to CURE to receive a Moxie the Moose stuffed animal.

The mission of CURE is to improve the lives of families coping with childhood cancer or chronic blood disorders by providing emotional, educational and financial assistance.
