Tijuana Dragons News Release

Tijuana, MX. Carlos Atilano, Owner of the ABA Tijuana Dragones professional basketball team today announced that Timmy Gibbs has rejoined the team as a player/assistant coach for the upcoming season. According to Atilano, "Timmy was our head coach last season and did a great job. He will be a most able assistant to our head coach Don Robert Lee. And although Timmy has been playing pro ball for 17 years - he is in remarkable shape and is looking forward to continuing his playing career as well as coaching."

Most recently, Gibbs was with Lobos de BUAP de Plateado of Mexico's top pro league and has played and coached overseason with a number of professional teams. Gibbs added, "While I really did enjoy being the Head Coach, I still feel that I have a lot of game left - and want to continue to play as long as I'm able. I'm looking forward to working with Coach Lee."
