
Fresno Heatwave signs former NBA great Ron Brewer

Fresno, CA. Reggie Davis, Owner and CEO of the ABA's Fresno Heatwave announced that the team has signed Ron Brewer, former NBA player, as Assistant Head Coach. Ron played for 9 years in the NBA with San Antonio, Portland, Cleveland and Golden State and was a 1st round draft pick by the Trailblazers in 1978. "Ron brings great experience and knowledge of the game of basketball to our team and will be a great asset to the city of Fresno as a whole," said Davis.
Ron attended and played basketball at the University of Arkansas where he was inducted into the Hall of Fame and was the first two time All-American before being drafted. After his NBA career, he returned and received his BA in Technology Educationb. Ron has been dedicated to coaching boys and girls AAU basketball in Arkansas. Davis added, "With Ron's addition to our coaching staff, the Headwave will definitely be "Bringin' the Heat."
