PORTLAND, Ore. - Following an eight-day break, the Portland Timbers return to action Sunday as they play host to the Montreal Impact at PGE Park at 5 p.m. live on FSN. Sunday's match opens a stretch of four games in seven days.

Sunday's match is part of a special doubleheader at PGE Park, starting at 1 p.m. as the Portland Timbers U-23s, who compete in the Premier Development League, take on the Vancouver Whitecaps Residency presented by the Timbers Army.

Tickets for the Timbers match against Montreal start at $11 and can be purchased through the PGE Park box office, area Ticketmaster outlets, online at www.ticketmaster.com or by phone at (800) 745-3000. Timbers U-23s tickets can be purchased at the PGE Park box office Sunday.

The Timbers enter Sunday's match against Montreal on an 11-game unbeaten streak in league play. Portland (6-1-5, 23pts) recorded a 5-1 win over the Minnesota Thunder in its last match on June 19 at PGE Park to extend its unbeaten run to 11 games, setting a new modern-franchise record.

Starting Sunday, the Timbers play four matches in a period of seven days. Three of their next four matches will take place at PGE Park, where the Timbers are unbeaten (5-0-1) this season and have out-scored opponents, 12-2. After Sunday, Portland then faces Major League Soccer's Seattle Sounders FC on July 1 in a U.S. Open Cup matchup and Germany's Bayern Munich II in an exhibition match July 2.

The Timbers face the Impact (5-4-2, 17pts) for the second time this month on Sunday. On June 4, midfielder Keith Savage secured a 1-0 win over Montreal at PGE Park with a goal in the 90th minute. Portland is 6-3-2 all-time against the Impact and is unbeaten against Montreal at home since 2007. The Timbers and Impact finish their 2009 season series August 12 in Montreal.

After missing the last several matches due to injury, midfielders Ryan Pore and Tony McManus, forward Antouman Jallow and defender Takuro Nishimura will all be available for selection against Montreal.

In addition to FSN, a live broadcast of Sunday's match will be available online at www.portlandtimbers.com, with a live video webcast available through USL Live - now a free service at www.usllive.com. A live Spanish-language broadcast will air on 910AM+1390AM ESPN Deportes.
