Timbers second round playoff tickets on sale Monday

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland Timbers today announced that tickets for their home Western Conference Semifinal playoff match go on sale Monday, Aug. 23 at 10 a.m.

The Timbers, who clinched the top seed in the A-League's Western Conference with a 5-0 victory over Puerto Rico on Thursday, will host the first game of a two-leg, aggregate-score series on Wednesday, Sept. 1 at PGE Park against the conference's No. 4 seed, which has yet to be determined.

Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. Gates open at 6 p.m.

Tickets will be available for purchase at the PGE Park box office as well as Portland-area Ticketmaster outlets. Individual tickets may be purchased by phone at (503) 224-4400 or online at www.ticketmaster.com .

Ticket prices for the playoff match are as follows:
Premier Seating: $23.00
Lower Reserved: $17.00
Upper Reserved: $12.00
General Admission: $10.00

Groups of 15 or more are encouraged to call the Timbers ticket office at (503) 553-5555 for discounts of $2.00-3.00 per ticket, depending on seating category. Exclusive Party Suites and picnic packages are also available by calling the Timbers ticket office.

NOTE: Undated regular-season vouchers and all special coupon offers are not redeemable and are void for all Timbers A-League playoff games.

The second leg of the semifinal aggregate-score series is tentatively scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 5 at the home venue of the Western Conference's No. 4 seed.

Ticket information for the Western Conference Finals and A-League Championship will be released at a later date should the Timbers advance past the semifinal round.

The Timbers, who currently top the 16-team A-League with 53 points, wrap up regular-season play next weekend with home matches against Minnesota on Friday, Aug. 27 (8 p.m.) and versus Milwaukee on Sunday, Aug. 29 (5 p.m.).
