Tim Hudson Reportedly Set to Rehab in Charleston

CHARLESTON, SC -- According to published reports in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, three-time All-Star and current Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Tim Hudson is scheduled to make a rehab appearance on Saturday, April 7, when the Charleston RiverDogs host the Rome Braves at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park. First pitch is slated for 7:05 pm.

A native of Columbus, GA., Hudson began his major league career with the Oakland Athletics (1999-04), having played his last two years of college eligibility at Auburn. In a 13-season career, Hudson has compiled a 181-97 record with 1,699 strikeouts and a 3.40 ERA in 2,503.1 innings with Oakland and Atlanta.

In 2010, Hudson received Major League Baseball's Comeback Player of the Year Award. The three-time All-Star (2000, '04 and '10), Hudson finished in the top 10 three times for the American League Cy Young Award, and led the majors in winning percentage and the American League in wins (20) in 2000. Hudson has won 15 games five times (2000-03, '07).
