KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (April 2, 2012) - The Kannapolis Intimidators, Class A Affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, will host a special ceremony at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium tomorrow, April 3, at 10 a.m. to announce a new stadium naming rights agreement. The new ballpark name and logo unveiling will lead up to an Intimidators exhibition game against the Winston-Salem Dash at 12 p.m. The ceremony and exhibition game are open to the public. The ballpark is located at 2888 Moose Road in Kannapolis off I-85 at exit 63.
The Intimidators open the 2012 season - the 18th year of professional baseball in Kannapolis - at home on Thursday, April 5, at 7:05 p.m. against the Hickory Crawdads. The organization drew 138,359 fans in 2011, setting a new franchise attendance record.
