NORWICH-The Connecticut Tigers (34-39) scored a run on a sacrifice fly by 1B Juaner Aguasvivas (1-2) in the seventh inning to earn a 1-0 win over the Lowell Spinners (34-38) before 1,844 fans at Dodd Stadium on Saturday.

LHP Joe Rogers (2-1) pitched three scoreless innings to pick up the win in a game that featured three rain delays totaling 66 minutes.

DH Zach Kirksey (0-2) led off the seventh inning with a walk and stole second base. 2B Jordan Dean (0-3) grounded out to move Kirksey to third base and Kirksey scored on the sac fly by Aguasvias.

The Tigers and Spinners finish the series on Sunday at 4:05 p.m. in the final home game of 2012. It's also the final "Sunday Funday." All kids in attendance will run the bases after the game and will receive a coupon for a Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Cone at Mohegan Sun. There will also be a post-game catch on the field after the game for all fans sponsored by Dick's Sporting Goods. The first 500 fans in attendance will also receive a team photo give away. In addition, the Tigers will also host a "Fan Appreciation Day" promotion where all fans will receive raffle tickets with the chance to win great prizes. Some of the prizes include autographed items from the 2012 team in addition to various promotional items from the 2012 season.

Lowell will send RHP Sergio Gomez (0-0, 0.00) to the mound while the Tigers will start RHP Montreal Robertson (0-4, 5.23). Pre-game radio coverage begins at 3:50 p.m. on AM 1310 WICH and online at www.cttigers.com.

The Connecticut Tigers are the Class-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers and play in the New York-Penn League.
