Rochester Rhinos News Release

WINSTON Salem, NC-Tiger Fitzpatrick of the USL's Rochester Rhinos capped off a phenomenal week by inking a new endorsement deal with Italian soccer line Diadora. Diadora is one of the world's leading suppliers of soccer equipment and apparel, and soccer agency MLF Sports brokered a deal that adds Tiger to the list of Diadora stars such as Francesco Totti, Kakhaber Kaladze, Mauro Esposito, and Filippo Inzaghi. Tiger is excites about his relationship with Diadora. "This is a great opportunity. Diadora offers a good product and great people. I am honored to join the Diadora team." As a result of Tiger's outstanding play on the field, he was named to the USL's Team of the Week. Tiger is at the top of the Rhino roster in minutes played, and has proven himself to be the backbone of a quality Rhinos squad. Rochester Coach Darren Tilley has needed Fitzpatrick's skills all over the field, moving him from midfield to defense as a result of injuries. The strategy has worked in recent matches; Tiger has defended well and he banged home a crucial penalty kick in the Rhinos 2-1 Lamar Hunt Open Cup win over RWB Adria. The Rhinos will move on to the second round to face the Pittsburg Riverhounds at PAETEC Park in Rochester at 7:30 PM on June 24. The Rhinos next league game will be Friday June 20 against the Carolina Railhawks, and will also be held in Rochester at PAETEC Park. On the Rhino's having gone undefeated in their last five games, Tiger said, "Things are really starting to come together. We have a good group, and I look forward to contributing to more wins." Fitzpatrick looks to carry his recent momentum through the rest of the summer, and readies himself for a call-up from the Trinidad & Tobago national Squad, hoping to add to his 24 International caps.
