Tide Win with Walk off Double by Langley, Beat Titans 5-4

OLD ORCHARD BEACH, ME- The Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide win if walk-off fashion Wednesday night against the Torrington Titans. Boston Langley (Edmonton, ALB, CA) delivered a two-out game-winning RBI double in the bottom of the ninth. Langley finished the game going 3-5 with a double and two RBIs.

The Titans took the lead in the top-half of the ninth inning after a sacrifice fly from Conor Bierfeldt (Torrington, CT/ Western Connecticut). Henry Van Zant (Westport, CT/ Bowdoin College) came in relief to close out the top of the ninth striking out two, raising his league leading strikeout number to 37.

Jason Vosler (West Nyack, NY/ Northeastern University) hit a two-run homerun in the first inning - his second on the year - and Tyler Laverriere (Biddeford, ME/ Saint Joseph's College) pitched five and two thirds innings of work while giving up five hits, and four strikeouts.

The Raging Tide head into tomorrow's game on the road against the first place Nashua Silver Knights, game time scheduled for 7:05.
