OLD ORCHARD BEACH, ME- The Old Orchard Beach Raging (9-11) Tide suffered two losses on Wednesday evening at the hands of the Brockton Rox (9-12) at The Ballpark. The first game the Rox came away with a 5-3 win, then took the nightcap 3-2.

The Rox kicked off the scoring with a two run second inning with Jack Curtis (Clermont, FL/Wake Forest) scoring on a Tyler Graves (Petal, MS/Jones County JC) single. Lorenzo Papa (Stoneham, MA/Broward) then flied out to center to plate home Brendan O'Brien (East Bridgewater, MA/SNHU) and give the away side a 2-0 advantage.

Brockton added a run in both the fourth and fifth inning to have a comfortable 4-0 cushion, but the Tide erupted for two runs in the bottom of the fifth to erase part of the deficit. OOB had the bases loaded on an error and two walks when Graham McIntire (Concord, NH/Marist) grounded out to bring in Sam Canales (Saco, ME/Bowdoin) from third.

The Raging Tide would add another to bring the game to a 4-3 score in the bottom of the sixth, but the Rox responded with a run in the seventh to pull the game out of reach.

The Raging Tide would be held scoreless by starter Dylan Driscoll (Mt. Airy, MD/Amherst) until they broke through for two unearned runs in the fourth.

After two quick outs, Cody Malloy (Toronto, ONT/British Columbia) and C.J. Picerni (Oak Park, CA/Cal Lutheran) reached on errors to put runners on first and second. Jeff Gelinas (Saco, ME/Maine) knocked in the first run of the game for the Tide, as Malloy scored on his single.

The Tide would add another run on an error by Curtis, to take a 2-1 lead, their last lead of the game.

The Tide were to add to the lead, after a pass ball moved two runners into scoring position, but Shane Bussey (Boynton Beach, FL/Maine) grounded out to end the threat.
