The 2010 Midwest League Champion Lake County Captains, the class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, have announced that individual game tickets for the 2011 season will go on sale on Saturday, March 12 at 9 AM. Tickets can be purchased on the Internet at CaptainsBaseball.com and by telephone at 440-954-WINS (9467). Advance ticket prices for 2011 regular season games will remain the same as last season while all Box Seat tickets will be $10 when purchased at the Classic Park Box Office within three hours of game time.

Opening day is Monday, April 11 at 7 PM as the Captains welcome the Dayton Dragons, an affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds, to Classic Park. The Captains have many events planned for the evening to commemorate the 2010 championship season, including raising the championship banner, a fleece blanket giveaway presented by Lake Health, a post-game Fireworks extravaganza and a salute to area high school and collegiate championship teams from the past year.

The Captains will host a total of 22 fireworks shows throughout the 2011 season having nine each on Friday and Saturday nights beginning May 6 and also three shows on select Sunday nights.

The season will also feature Bark in Park Nights every Tuesday night as fans can bring their canine friends to the game. Thursday will feature a new $25 Date Night package that includes Officer ‚¬â„¢s Club tickets and a great meal. Thursday ‚¬â„¢s will continue to feature the popular Thirsty Thursday, with Happy Hour dime beers, as well as Military ID night. Monday Buck Night, Wednesday Feed Your Face Night and Family Fun Sundays, with expanded activities, return as well this season.

The Captains signature night, "A Salute to Cleveland Sports History" night, will return for the third year and there are many premium giveaway items being planned as well. Christmas in July and Halloween will be back along with several Heritage Nights and four Faith Nights. The schedule is also highlighted by four special jersey auctions that help generate money for local non-profit partners and Captains Charities.

The Captains are once again playing Cupid for Valentine's Day. Fans can have the Captains mascot, Skipper, deliver a special Valentine's Day package to their sweetheart as part of this annual program in partnership with J.D. Ballantine's Flowers and Gifts in Mentor.

Fans that purchase the package will have Skipper deliver a box of one dozen roses to their sweetheart at their residence or workplace. The roses can also have a personalized message included on a card. In addition to the roses, a voucher for four box seat tickets to a 2011 Captains game will also be delivered to the loved one.

The cost of the package is only $60 and orders will be taken until February 9 and are limited to the first 25 orders placed. Orders will be delivered between 8 AM and 4:30 PM on Valentine's Day, Monday, February 14. Deliveries will be available to recipients within a 25-mile radius east, west and south of Classic Park.

The Captains Charities inaugural Balls & Strikes Bowling Benefit is coming up soon and will be held on Saturday, February 13 from 1 - 3 PM at Freeway Lanes in Wickliffe. Registration is only $15 per person or $65 per team of five people and includes two games of bowling, pizza, pop, gift bags, door prizes and games throughout the event.
