MIDLAND, MI - The Great Lakes Loons are once again hoping to uncover some of the most talented individuals in the region on Saturday, February 12 from 9 a.m. to noon, in the third annual "Mid-Michigan's Got Talent". Top qualifiers in the event will be invited to showcase their skills during a Loons home game in the 2011 season.

The Loons are seeking entertainers to perform the national anthem before home games, plus talented jugglers, magicians, caricature artists, one-man bands, turkey callers, weight-lifters, and people with any other skill that could be considered entertaining.

"We are always so impressed with the level of talent that the Great Lakes Bay Region produces," said Chris Mundhenk, Loons Vice President of Marketing and Entertainment. "Last year's event uncovered many new performers for Dow Diamond and we hope the same will hold true with this year's event."

Along with Mundhenk, Assistant General Manager of Production and Entertainment Chris Lones and Director of Promotions Linda Lones will serve as judges for the talent show, which will take place in Dow Diamond's suite lobby.

National anthem singers must perform a capella. Because of time restraints, bands are asked to mail or drop off a demo tape, CD, or DVD to Linda Lones, c/o Dow Diamond, 825 E. Main St., Midland, MI 48640. Interested entertainers who are unable to participate in "Mid-Michigan's Got Talent" may also send in a demo in lieu of attending the February 12 event.

For tickets or general information about the Loons, visit Loons.com or call 989-837-BALL. The Great Lakes Loons are a fifth-year Single-A partner of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
