The "Locker Room" Store and Lake Monsters Ticket Office Open For The Summer on June 5th
The "Locker Room" Store and Vermont Lake Monsters Ticket Office will open for the summer this Monday, June 5th at 10:00 a.m. and will be open everyday (excluding July 4th) until the end of the season.
The store and ticket office hours on non-home game days are 10:00 am-6:00 pm Monday-Friday, 10:00 am-4:00 pm Saturdays and 12:00 pm-4:00 pm Sundays.
The store and ticket office hours on home game days are 10:00 am-4:30 pm Monday-Saturday and 10:00 am-2:30 pm on Sundays.
Tickets and merchandise can also be purchased 24 hours a day on the team website (www.vermontlakemonsters.com). Merchandise can be ordered by phone (802-655-5939) and tickets by phone (802-655-6611) during store and ticket office hours.
Darrell Rasner '02 Joins The New York Yankees
Former Vermont pitcher Darrell Rasner '02 was promoted from Triple-A Columbus by the New York Yankees on May 31st. Rasner, who was 0-1 with a 3.68 ERA in 5 games for the Washington Nationals in 2005, was claimed off waivers by the Yankees over the winter.
The 25-year old right-hander was promoted to the Yankees after being the season 4-0 with a 2.56 ERA in 9 games for Columbus. Rasner had walked 11 and struckout 42 in 52.2 innings for the Clippers.
Rasner is now the 12th former Vermont player to be on a Major League roster in 2006 and is one of 43 former Vermont players all-time to play in the Major Leagues.
