Calgary Stampeders News Release
A conspicuous return to the field has netted Calgary Stampeders middle linebacker Jameer Thurman a Canadian Football League's top-performer award for Week 14.
Back in the lineup after missing three games due to injury, the fourth-year Stamp from Indiana State was a standout in the Stamps' 26-18 victory over the Edmonton Elks in Monday's Labour Day Classic at McMahon Stadium. Thurman matched a career high with 10 tackles and had one tackle for loss as well as a sack to help Calgary improve to 7-4.
In eight games this season, Thurman has 40 tackles including two tackles for loss, two interceptions, one sack, one forced fumble and one knockdown.
