DAYTONA BEACH, FLA -- Daytona Beach Thunder kicker Andy Eminger set an American Indoor Football League record with four field goals in a 57-54 loss to the Florence Phantoms on Saturday, was named AIFL Southern Conference special teams player of the week.

Eminger connected on four of eight field goal attempts and made all six PAT tries for 18 points, which matched the second-year league's single-game kick scoring record. Eminger shares that mark with Erik Rockhold of the Reading Express, who has scored 18 in two games this season.

Several kickers shared the previous mark of three.

There may be another record in the mix for Eminger. His first kick came from the Thunder 5-yard line, and was officially recorded as a 50-yarder. However, the end zones in Florence were measured as six yards deep, and the goal posts are 2.5 yards behind the field of play, making that a kick a 53-yarder. The Thunder will discus this with league officials.

This is Eminger's second player of the week award this season.
